In order to complete a 62 or 25 mile ride please make sure your bike is ready. Your bike should be in good working order with good tires and brakes. If you need help please take it to one of our supporting local bicycle shops if you're in the area.

Discounts on Bike Inspections and Tune-ups

We HIGHLY RECOMMEND getting your bike checked out before you get on it. With that in mind, bike shops around the region are offering discount inspections and tune-up offers to Carolinas Challenge participants. These offers are good from October 6 through 22nd only. Feel free to check out the shops on line. Call in advance to make an appointment. Make sure to let them know that you are a Carolinas Challenge participant and have proof of event registration.

Great Escape Bicycle Shop

The Great Escape Bicycle Shop location in Spartanburg has generously offered to provide free inspections on Saturday October 20th. In addition from October 6 through the 20th they will offer a 10% discount on bicycle tune ups and accessories. Technicians from the shop will also be on hand at the Mary Black Memorial Hospital the day of the event to help with minor problems and adjustments.
